15 Months

I cannot believe my little baby is already 15 months old! She is growing so fast and changes every day. We were just at the Dr. on Monday for her well-baby check up and she hated every single second of it. She was even afraid of the elevators! This could be because she wouldn't nap before the appointment and was crabby to begin with... you know what they say... you can lead a horse to water! Anyway, little miss K was fine with the nurse, Amy, but as soon as the Dr., who is a jolly-looking old man came into the room, her face dropped and she just started screaming and clawing her way  up me. He had to examine her and she screamed through that too. To which the dr. said, "wow, someone is a bit dramatic!" :) Ya think? hehe! By the time we were pulling out of the parking lot, I finally relaxed my muscles and felt actual pain as I had been tensed up so badly during the appointment! K promptly took a nap... typical.

Here are her latest stats:
Weight: 21lb. 12 oz. (32nd percentile)
Height: 31-1/4" (75th percentile)
Head: 46-14" cm (62nd percentile)

so.. basically a string bean! :) She eats really well still and keeps trying more and more new foods. She loves fruits, but hasn't really taken a liking to veggies quite yet.  She still always has a bottle in the morning, but I can tell she is losing interest, so that will go away soon.

She is talking up a storm lately, repeating words that you say to her.  Her latest are: hair, bottle, down, grandpa (or papa), blueberry ("booo"), Henry ("ha-ha"), juice ("Hoosh"), and dog. Of course we still hear "ball" all the time as she is totally obsessed with playing ball. She has little ones that she really likes to hide places (hamper, trash, bath tub, toilet, etc).  Everything she does is an adventure! She gets into just about all the cupboards and closets now and loves to pull things apart. She is very curious and is constantly on the go! She also loves to play on the bed and couch so she can flop around freely :) She is still not walking, but gets more and more brave all the time. She pushes a walker really well and will take 1-2 independent steps before dropping down and crawling.  It won't be long now!

She is doing really well in her new daycare and seems to be very happy there. They keep her really busy so she is a total zombie when I get her home at night. Zach will start school again and then she will be back to three days in daycare again.

I haven't been taking a lot of pictures lately, but here are a few...

On the bridge in Grand Haven while mommy was photographing the Coast Guard Festival bike race

She found these boxes and figured out how to sit in them. This occupied her for quite a while ;-)

Already shopping in my closet!

This is pretty much how my kitchen looks all the time :)

She calls sunglasses "hat" because they go on my head. She likes it  when you put them on her and then say how cute she is... then she takes them off and you repeat... like a hundred times :)

She likes to "help" unload the dishwasher.

Gimme!

I need to figure out how to work my video editing software so I can upload the video from this past weekend of K riding her quad.  When she sees it, or grandpa, she says "vroom vroom!" :) too cute!
